Ray and Bea played Alice and Karl in the 1 spot and took them to 3 sets and made them work for their win. We lost in three, but that was really great tennis! Joanne and Rich suffered a similar fate taking on Sue Weiner (4.0) and her (3.0) partner Dave. Joanne and Rich won the first set, lost the second 5/7 and then fell down in the third. Great tennis both of you.
Mike and I managed to squeeze out a win in 2 with two 7/5 - 7/5 sets. We came from behind in both sets, down 1-4 in the first and down 2-5 in the second. We are happy about hanging tough and eeking it out. Heck, a win is a win.
