Le Blue v Cupertino "C" 02/07/09
I'm just going to come right out and say that there aren't too many too many things I enjoy more than opening a big can of LeBleu whoop-ass on Cupertino. I am happy to report that courts 3, 4, & 5 at the Cupertino Sports Center have been well-swept and are now clean enough to eat off of. I was going to say that they were clean enough to have cocktails on, but then I remembered whose courts I was referring to, so we'll have to just deal with mediocre food.
In #1, Doo-Rag-Rod (or should I say Doo-Rag-Roo?) and Doo-Rag-Di took them by storm in Survivor fashion. In summary, Doo-Roo & Doo-Jew used Voo-Doo, & won 2 & 2, wearing black & blue. Sorry, that was really bad. I can't help myself sometimes.
In #2, Janie & Neil took the first set 6 - 3, with their ever-so-British style & finesse. Then they were already up in the second set when Nasty Neil dropped them a shorty and both players went for it. The point ended in a Cupertino collision, causing a bad elbow injury to the lady player and then that match was bloody (OK, I now know I am really bad) over. Bummer, everyone knew that Janie & Neil were going to cream them in the second set.
And in #3, Bea and Morgan (Bea, we knew you could do it with just one guy), somehow lost the first set 2 - 6. My guess is that Cupertino cheated. Whatever.....the important thing is that it did not even phase our bleu players. They just came back and won the second set 6 - 3, with ease. So it came down to the super tie-breaker, which of course turned bleu!! Awesome!
