Marlene and Doug played some great tennis, but they were up against Sargon, who was in the zone today... probably because his fuddy duddy partner wouldn't let him sing.... I tried to distract him in the secon dset wit "O solo Mio", but she put the kabosh on it... sorry guys.. I tried!

Raul and I had an easy first set... let down a little in the second, but came back to win in two. Raul is a seasoned player and great strategist. He probably is a good cook, too, cuz he sure hows how to slic and dice... new expression: " That ball had some real 'Raul' on it!!!"

And what a cheering squad.. Cathy and Ron (thanks for the sip of "smuggled-in" beer Ron.. you saved me!) Cathy zapped us all with the lucky spoon and almost got herself kicked out with her musical bottle opener!!!: Cookie and Steve, Bea and yes our beloved Janie is back!! It was great to look up and see all those friendly faces!!!

And what can I say about the Cupertino spread? The fruit tray was one plum and one apricot. Someone brought six mini pitas filled with egg salad and something else... don't know what because I was afraid to try it... oh and then the togo's came.. Amazing how much effort they put into their hosting role...
