And YES, this time it WAS US! Yeah! The pirates have plundered their way back into FOURTH place !!!! ARRRRRGH!

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner! (in keeping with our chicken theme from last week).

WINNER Amanda and Bruce servinng up a bagel brunch this morning. Enough said about that. Kind of hard to write up - well, Bruce hit htis winner, then Amanda hit this winner, then Bruce hit another winner and again and it was WAP, WAP, WAP, over over red rover. The only smiles were coming from OUR team after that match. Well played! 0 and 0... "O" my.........

WINNER Mike and Mary. As they say, there is something about Mary. She was amazing again and they played a really tough team. Mike and his magic racquet did their job and the two of them are a great combo - that's to say Mike and Mary (not Mike and his racquet, but I guess that's a good combo too). Their opponents were solid. Anna Evanier was having a very good day and was consistent and strong. Mystery "Bob", affectionately referred to as "tennis player Bob" on the sidelines, was a strong opponent. This was a tough match with really great points. We had to work hard to come out on top 4 and 3 to clinch the match.

CHICKEN DINNER WHAT??? That's a stretch. Iknow! but work with me people...... Actually, there was nothing "chicken" about how both Ray and Sonja crashed the net on the attack today. Great Tennis! Ray and Sonja narrowly lost the first set in a tiebreaker, cleaned up the second set 6/3 and then played a full third set which was disrupted by having to switch courts in the middle. The tie did not go our way today, but our team still has something to crow about! They played well and it was crowd pleasing good tennis. A full three setter no less.

On the sidelines we had Yumiko, Janie, Bea, Dirk, Dean and Sandy so it was a good turnout for Le Blue.
